INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOR

My Positive Outlooks -  Some people are always running late, and experts say it is not because they are rude, lazy, or indifferent to other people’s feelings...Psychotherapist Somia Zaman says chronic lateness is rarely intentional or a sign of carelessness, per the NY Post.

Some people, she explains, are optimists who believe they can manage everything on their packed schedules. These “over-schedulers” often try to fit too many tasks into one day, leaving little room for delays.

Zaman adds that chatty individuals are especially prone to being late, as conversations tend to run longer than expected, causing them to fall behind on their next plans.

However, constantly rushing isn’t enjoyable for them, Zaman notes. Many struggle to set boundaries and have difficulty completing new tasks or activities.

“Some over-schedulers are people who have trouble saying no, fearing they may offend someone, or miss out on an important opportunity (FOMO). In this case, their unrealistic plans for the day are a reflection of their worries rather than their excitement”, she said.
