Young voters went strongly for Biden in 2020, with exit polls showing the Democrat took 60% of the 18- to 29-year-old vote. But a survey released this week by Harvard University's Institute of Politics
showed Biden with an approval rating of just 36% among 18- to
29-year-olds – a 5 percentage point drop from a year ago and a real
danger sign for a president who needs young voters to turn out for him.
House Republicans voted Wednesday to cut veterans’ services significantly and limit their health care. That’s just one aspect of Barely Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s debt ceiling and budget cuts extortion package that passed 217-215, with all but four Republicans voting for it. Those four didn’t think the cuts were deep enough.
