Personal note

Sam Smith -  My wife and I celebrated our 60^th wedding anniversary yesterday. According to one study only about one or two percent of marriages last that long, in our case thanks in no small part to my partner, Kathy. I met Kathy when she was working for Senator Gaylord Nelson. She had graduated from the University of Wisconsin magna cum laude and nonetheless married a guy who had graduated from Harvard magna cum probation. And we have been happy ever since.
