NBC News - Some members of Congress are growing concerned over the Trump administration’s lack of transparency surrounding its strikes on alleged drug smuggling boats in the Caribbean, sources told NBC News.
Both Republicans and Democrats have left briefings about the strikes frustrated, with some questioning the legality of the strikes and asking for unedited videos of the military action. The administration has so far refused to provide them. President Donald Trump has stated the country is now in an "armed conflict" with drug trafficking organizations — the same legal rationale used to previously target al-Qaeda and ISIS.
