Polls

Newsweek -   In July, women gave the president a 31 percent approval and 65 percent disapproval rating (-34 net), according to Quinnipiac University polling. By August, that figure slipped to 29 percent approval and 65 percent disapproval (-36 net), the lowest point in months. But September’s polling shows a modest recovery, with 32 percent approving and 61 percent disapproving (-29 net).

The New Republic -  When [Supreme Court Justice] Roberts was inaugurated, Gallup found in a September 2005 poll that 56 percent of Americans approved of the court’s job. In July this year, that number had dropped to 39 percent—the first sub-40 result in the survey’s history.

AP - Americans are more likely to watch newly released movies from the comfort of their own homes instead of heading out to a theater, according to a new poll.  About three-quarters of U.S. adults said they watched a new movie on streaming instead of in the theater at least once in the past year, according to the survey from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, including about 3 in 10 who watched new movies on streaming at least once a month.
