ICE

NBC News -  ICE agents arrested roughly 30,000 immigrants last month, the most in at least five years, but deportations are lagging far behind what Trump has promised.

New Republic - On July 4, President Trump signed his supposed “big, beautiful bill” into law—and ICE is the biggest winner.

With a $30 billion budget—nearly four times its previous funding—Immigration and Customs Enforcement is now bigger than the FBI, DEA, and Bureau of Prisons combined. And what will it do with that money? Round up 3,000 people per day—many of them longtime residents: monitored, working, even paying taxes—and lock them up.

But that’s just the start. The bill allocates another $45 billion for detention centers. Not housing. Not schools. Camps. Enough for 100,000 people. And now Trump is floating the idea of putting detainees to work on farms and in hotels.

This isn’t policy. It’s the blueprint for a national network of forced labor camps.
