Newsweek - A federal judge ruled Monday that the Trump administration's dismantling of the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP), a congressionally approved independent nonprofit, was "unlawful" and declared the administration's actions "null and void."
She went on to say that President Donald Trump's efforts were "a gross usurpation of power" and that USIP employees "deserved better."...
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) took over the nonprofit in March and ousted its staff as part of Trump and Elon Musk's wide-ranging effort to dramatically shrink the size of the federal government.
