Budget cuts

American Progress -  Congressional Republicans just advanced a budget that could cut $880 billion from Medicaid to help finance $4.5 trillion worth of Trump’s tax cuts for the rich. This chart tells you what such cuts would mean in your community. Fifteen congressional districts would be hit particularly hard — and that could cause reelection problems for their GOP representatives. Example: In the district of Colorado Rep. Daily Kos - President Donald Trump has authorized DOGE to go after multiple government agencies to cut supposedly unnecessary spending, but the Associated Press found that nearly 40% of the contracts the group had canceled would lead to no savings for taxpayers at all.

DOGE alleges on its website (which was hacked a few days ago) “savings” amounting to $65 billion, but 794 of the roughly 2,300 posted contracts had already been paid out—meaning there were no savings. More
