This is a crap article that seems to have been AI generated from a crap database.

Some of it is Ok, but two big problems with it are about ceiling fans and “propane and nat gas cheaper” BS.

1) Ceiling fans are a very efficient way to reduce central heating and cooling use (and thus your bills and total energy demand) by

A) increasing comfort at a much higher temperature in summer, and

B) when reversed in winter, reducing central heating load by reducing the amount of heat wasted near the ceiling by redistributing it downward where we are.

Ceiling fans are one of the great bargains for sustainability.

2) Yes, electricity might cost more than propane and natural gas, but burning fossil fuels like propane and natural gas is the root of the problem. The critical strategy is to electrify everything as fast as possible and then provide that electricity with carbon free sources. Small scale use of fossil fuels is horribly inefficient, and it merely allows some individuals to save a few cents while making the rest of the world pay with dollars and their lives.
