The Institute for Citizens & Scholars is excited to launch the Youth Civic Solutions Competition, designed to amplify the voices of young people in shaping the future of youth civic engagement in the U.S. With the 2024 election season in full swing, this competition offers young people aged 14-24 the chance to share their innovative ideas to enhance civic knowledge, engagement, and trust.
Participants can submit their ideas through a short, written response or a video, addressing topics like improving civic knowledge, increasing civic engagement, or fostering trust in democratic institutions or one another. The competition is divided into two categories: High School (14-18) and Young Adult (18-24).
Winners will receive $1,000 to support their civic initiatives and
opportunities to connect with leaders in the civic learning field and
gain national recognition for their work. Submissions are open from August 30 to October 4, 2024, with winners
