How to tell you're in a community

 Sam Smith - Next Friday an annual clam festival will be launched in the Maine town next to ours beginning with a parade on Friday. The parade sponsors include M&T Bank, Casco Bay Ford, Lindquist Funeral Home, GoNet Speed, and United Insurance. Today, we were driving along the parade route and there were scores of fold-up chairs of different colors and shapes lying on the sidewalk. It was explained to me that there were so many spectators expected that grabbing a chair space early was a good idea. I was also told that there were no names attached to the chairs because nobody stole them.
