Huffington Post -Biden advisors and insiders think his chances of winning the election are dismal, and some are privately discussing how to convince him to step aside, according to reports.Three people briefed on the matter shared with The New York Times that a small group of the president’s advisors are discussing how they can persuade Biden to end his campaign, saying they must convince him of three things: he can’t beat Trump; Harris or another candidate could; and the replacement process would not spiral into chaos.
Several of Biden’s top allies, including three who are directly involved in his campaign, told NBC News they don’t see any path to victory for him.
“He needs to drop out,” one Biden campaign official told the outlet. “He will never recover from this.”
“No one involved in the effort thinks he has a path,” another said.
