Huffington Post - Former President Donald Trump drew backlash on Wednesday for his campaign’s latest fundraising email, which critics called “unhinged,” “disgusting” and dangerous. It also had CNN’s Jim Acosta asking whether the presumptive GOP presidential nominee was truly “out of control” following his hush money trial conviction last month. The headline of the email read: “HAUL OUT THE GUILLOTINE!”
“They
want me BEHEADED after this verdict,” Trump claimed in a money-beg that
Acosta shared on X, formerly Twitter. “And it’s not just me they want
gone, THEY’RE REALLY COMING AFTER YOU!” the ex-president added. Trump,
who in recent weeks has ramped up his rhetoric about seeking revenge on
his rivals if he wins back the White House in November, asked
supporters if they remembered “when that sicko Kathy Griffin made the
rounds parading my BEHEADED head when I was President?!”
National Memo - Former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) told Fox News on Tuesday that former President Donald Trump is unsuitable for another term in office — and that he believes the former president isn't loyal to upholding the Constitution.
"I voted for him in 2016, hoping that there was going to be a different kind of person in office," Ryan told host Neil Cavuto..."But what happened?" asked Cavuto. "What turned you off? Was it the whole January 6 thing?"
"That's
a part of it, I think it's a contribution of factors," said Ryan. "But I
think it really is his character at the end of the day, and the fact
that if you're willing to put yourself above the Constitution, an oath
you swear when you take office, federal office, whether there's
president or a member of Congress, you swear an oath to the
Constitution. And if you're willing to suborn it to yourself, I think
that makes you unfit for office."
Occupy Demnocrats - Trump has told officials that one of the three guns listed on his New York City concealed carry permit was "lawfully moved" to Florida. The first two guns were surrendered to police in March.
Unfortunately for Trump, it's a federal offense to possess a firearm and or ammunition as a convicted felon. After his 34 convictions, Trump falls squarely within that category.
Palm Beach police informed CNN that the third gun has not been turned in. A New York official stated that they have been "briefed on the probation investigation" and told CNN that the gun "will be referred to local authorities in Florida to take whatever steps are necessary."
In other words, it appears that convicted felon Donald Trump is currently and illegally in possession of a gun. It's worth noting that Hunter Biden was just convicted on gun charges — so if the law is truly an impartial force Donald Trump must be prosecuted too.
NBC News - The New Jersey attorney general’s office is investigating the eligibility of the liquor licenses of three Trump-owned golf courses in the state following former President Donald Trump’s conviction on felony charges in New York, officials confirmed Tuesday....The Trump campaign says that the ex-president doesn’t own the liquor licenses, so there is nothing to review. However, New Jersey law states that a liquor license can be removed if a person is convicted of crimes of moral turpitude. Does it matter if the licenses are in someone else’s name, but Trump owns the properties?
