WalletHub - American households have around $17.7 trillion in debt, and the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its new report on the States Where People Are the Most Delinquent on Debt to show where people are at the biggest risk of credit score damage and other negative consequences

NPR - The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has proposed new federal regulations that would remove medical debt from Americans' credit scores. If enacted, the rules would dramatically expand protections for tens of millions of Americans burdened by medical bills they can’t afford. Health care debt affects an estimated 100 million people in the U.S. Growing evidence indicates that credit scores depressed by medical debt can threaten people’s access to housing and fuel homelessness.
