Cars

Compare the Market - New data from Compare the Market has found the United States is now the third-most expensive country to own a car in 2024. The car insurance experts indexed nine different average annual expense factors, fuel costs at the time of writing and licensing fees across 26 countries. The USA replaced Finland on the car ownership costs index. The country saw cost increases in almost every category, with depreciation, insurance and annual fuel spend increasing by over US$30, inspection, tax and parking spend increasing by over US$15 in the past year. This is a substantial increase from 2023 when America was ranked 10th most expensive.
