In Northern Ireland, people living with Parkinson’s disease can find community at the Parkinson’s Drop-In CafĂ© — a series of establishments where they can discuss their challenges and share their experiences in a safe space. Denis Brown, who was diagnosed in 2008 at age 44, told BBC: “We can sit here and laugh and joke about it.”
