Trump update

David Kay Johnston   Our economy grew at a robust 5.2% rate in the third quarter, BEA.gov just announced. The 2nd quarter was 2.1%. Trump promised 6% GDP growth. Donald's best year was less than 3%, his four-year average a meager 1.2%.

If Trump convicted, Home Depot billionaire says he'd still likely fund campaign

Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy visited Donald Trump three weeks after January 6th because he was "depressed" and "not eating" following his election defeat, a new book has claimed. In her new memoir, former congresswoman Liz Cheney accuses her fellow Republicans of "cowardice" and "craven" behaviour in going along with Mr Trump's claims of a stolen election despite knowing they were nonsense.

Speaking with special counsel Jack Smith's team earlier this year, former Vice President Mike Pence offered harrowing details about how, in the wake of the 2020 presidential election, then-President Donald Trump surrounded himself with "crank" attorneys, espoused "un-American" legal theories, and almost pushed the country toward a "constitutional crisis," according to sources familiar with what Pence told investigators. The sources said Pence also told investigators he's "sure" that -- in the days before Jan. 6, 2021, when a violent mob tried to stop Congress from certifying the election -- he informed Trump he still hadn't seen evidence of significant election fraud, but Trump was unmoved, continuing to claim the election was "stolen" and acting "recklessly" on that "tragic day."

Biden is much better at looking at the whole economy than Trump ever will be. Trump only wants to benefit his favored few, while economies work better when they work for nearly everyone.
