OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT, announced late last night that it would reinstate Sam Altman as its CEO after he was fired on Friday. The reversal ends five days of drama between Altman, OpenAI employees and the company's board of directors.NPR's Dara Kerr describes the past few days of developments as "corporate tussling of the highest order." OpenAI employees wrote a letter to the board threatening to quit en masse if Altman wasn't reinstated. About 500 employees signed the letter at first. Eventually, roughly 97% of the company signed the letter in his support.

According to Feeding America, 44 million people — including over 13 million children — in the United States live in food insecure households. The holiday season, and especially days centered on food like Thanksgiving, can be immensely hard for those families. “For millions of people, the holiday season can look very different as they turn to food banks to help provide nourishment for their families,” Casey Marsh, the chief development officer at Feeding America, said in a press release.
