Federal judge throws outTexas ban on drag acts saying the state's new law is unconstitutional

Researchers looked at children’s screen time duration by age 1. They assessed their performance in developmental categories, such as communication, fine motor, personal and social, and problem-solving skills at ages 2 and 4, through self-reported information from participating mothers. Children with up to four hours of daily screen time had a three-fold higher risk of communication and problem-solving skill delays. Children with four or more hours of screen time per day were nearly five times more likely to be experiencing communication skill delays and twice as likely to be behind on personal and social milestones at age 2. Moreover, these children were 1.74 times more likely to have underdeveloped fine motor skills.

The agreement to end the 148-day-long Hollywood writer strike includes landmark rules governing the use of AI in Hollywood projects, Axios' Sara Fischer writes.. . . .The deal establishes regulations for the use of AI on projects covered by writers subject to the contract.

  • It says AI "can't write or rewrite literary material," and AI-generated material "can't be used to undermine a writer's credit or separated rights," which are held. by a writer individually rather than by some larger entity.
  • Writers can choose to use AI when performing writing services with consent from their production partners, but they can't be forced to do so.
  • Studios are required to disclose to writers if any materials given to them have been generated by AI or incorporate AI-generated material. Usage of writers' material to train AI is prohibited.

The FTC and 17 states accused Amazon yesterday of illegally and unfairly operating a monopoly over e-commerce, which harmed competitors, led to the inflation of prices on its site and degraded product quality, according to a lawsuit filed yesterday. It’s the latest major antitrust suit by the FTC. If it’s successful, it could “profoundly undermine central features” of the company’s platform, one expert told The Messenger’s Abubakar Idris.
