What Happens When You Tax Billionaires at 90 Percent?
Gavin Newsom -Texas is trying interfere with how their largest blue county runs elections. This isn’t an isolated incident. The @GOP are systematically chipping away at our democracy to insert their control:
-TN is trying to slash Nashville’s city council in half
-FL hired a police squad to scare voters
-GA is threatening the discretion of Dem DAs
-MS is creating an unelected court system
-OH is making it harder to pass ballot measures
Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis is attacking former President Donald Trump for “turning the country over to [Dr. Anthony] Fauci in March 2020” but DeSantis was praising the chief public health official at the same time in previously unreported quotes, saying Fauci was “really, really good and really, really helpful” and “really doing a good job.” In other comments, the Florida governor said he deferred to Fauci’s guidance on COVID-19 restrictions and later cited his guidance when communicating the policies he was putting in place early in the pandemic in the state of Florida
A YouGov survey finds that Republicans trust Fox News, the Weather Channel and Breibert News but everything else gets less than 20% trust. A majority of Democrats trust all the other listed outlets except for Fox and some right ring media.
