Facts: Population growth

Axios  - "Population growth is increasingly driven by net immigration, which accounts for all population growth in 2043 and beyond," the Congressional Budget Office said in a 2022 report. In Texas, Hispanic residents now officially make up the largest share of the state's population as of last week, The Texas Tribune reports. "The new population figures show Hispanic Texans made up 40.2% of the state's population last summer, barely edging out non-Hispanic white Texans, who made up 39.8%," per the Tribune.

The U.S. is still predominantly white, with growth of 19% between 2000 and 2022, to 250 million.
