Axios - America is staring down its worst shortage of life-saving drugs in almost a decade — and the situation is poised to get worse. Shortages of cancer drugs and other vital medications are forcing physicians to develop workarounds, Axios' Tina Reed reports. More than 300 drugs are in shortage, the highest since 2014, per the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. The American Cancer Society warned this month about potentially "life-threatening" supply problems of chemotherapy drugs that don't have an effective alternative.
