New Mainers

Sam Smith - Went to a great Meetinghouse event with a bunch of New Mainers - aka immigrants - describing their experiences coming here. I threw out a question: If foreign immigrants are now called New Mainers, can't those of us who immigrated to Maine from elsewhere in the US share the name instead of being called "from away?" Got some laughs but no answer.
