making their way through state legislatures, according to the Human
Rights Campaign (HRC), which the LGBTQ advocacy group described as the
"highest on record" in a briefing published earlier this week. Over
the past week, legislation concerning trans rights has either been
introduced, become law or made progress in state legislatures in North
Dakota, South Dakota, Kentucky, Kansas, and Missouri.
Pew Research - Although 62% of Black Americans say Black people should prioritize the
struggle against racism over other inequalities, 79% say it is very
important for women to have equal rights with men.
And nearly six-in-ten Black adults want organizations that are working
toward Black equality to address the distinctive challenges of Black
people who are gay or lesbian (57% say this) or transgender (55%).
