Axios - On Day 3 of the speaker fight, Senate President Pro Tem Patty Murray (D-Wash.) wakes up as second in line to the presidency, The New York Times points out (subscription):

72, was sworn in on Tuesday for her sixth term and was promptly elected
as the president pro tempore of the Senate — a position that would
