Flu cases surge

Axios - The U.S. is in the midst of its worst flu season in over a decade, Axios' Adriel Bettelheim writes.

  • Flu-connected hospital admissions over Thanksgiving week almost doubled over the previous week.

What's happening: The return to pre-pandemic life has left us "immunologically naïve" and more susceptible to infections, experts say.

If you are concerned about viral infections, use the old immune boosters of Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Zinc. Unlike a flu vaccine that might or might not be a good match for the season, these three are proven immune boosters.

According to the CDC, levels of Influenza are High to Very High is most States here in the U.S.

Also, the number of Influenza cases are Increasing at a Rate similar to previous, but about 5 weeks ahead of usual.

Also, per CDC: "The majority of influenza viruses tested are in the same genetic subclade as and antigenically similar to the influenza viruses included in this season’s influenza vaccine."

My personal interpretation on the subject:
Get Vaccinated. Wear a mask indoors in public settings. Be courteous by covering nose / mouth when sneezing / coughing when around others, even outdoors. The purpose is to slow the infection rate of growth, lower the bell curve, and hopefully the end result will be less Influenza cases / deaths this 2022-23 Flu season.
