Sam Smith - I covered my first congressional hearing 65 years ago as a student summer reporter for the Washington radio station WWDC and I can assure you that I have never seen anything remotely as striking and powerful as today’s hearing of the January 6th committee. Particularly, Neither have I watched such evidence of high government criminal and treasonous activity.
While I may still have some doubt as to whether the evidence can convince a judge or jury, the public has never seen such a display of dishonest and disloyal behavior at a national level. What we do about it all remains to be told.
