Robert Reich - Who else thinks it's obscene that Americans are paying pharmaceutical companies more for the world’s top 20 selling drugs than the rest of the world...combined?

If true, this information should be expanded, elaborated in easily understood format and spread throughout all forms of media. The message about pharmaceutical robbery has been lost in a swirl of political jargon little understood by those who are victims of the drug manufacturers and pols who are underwritten by the drug companies.

We need to repeal the 1992 "Prescription Drug User Fee Act"

The corruption that allows this fiasco was made into law in 1992. The media know about it, but media accepts ads from the Big Pharma Cartel, so "nothing to see here". I want tax payers/government funding the FDA. That FDA work becomes well enough compensated that the FDA becomes filled with people who will work their whole career there, and not hop into the revolving door that at least one third of current FDA employees already have. I want limits like if you work for the FDA you must not work in that field for 3-5 years before you can work in industry to break industries hold on the FDA.

"In 1992, in response to intense pressure, Congress passed the Prescription Drug User Fee Act. It was signed into law by President George H.W. Bush. With the act, the FDA moved from a fully taxpayer-funded entity to one funded through tax dollars and new prescription drug user fees."
