Just a thought: Dumping Trump

Sam Smith - Sure I'd love to see Trump impeached but I worry given the short time period involved, whether the efforts to dump Trump before January 20 will fail in everything but making his crazy supporters more angry and active. I'm more inclined to see prosecutors go after him when he just becomes an ordinary citizen again. There is a wealth of potential matters including a charge of rape, mishandling of multi-million dollar loans and so forth. One possibility I heard raised by a criminal defense lawyer would be a felony murder charge based on the death in the recent mob attack on the Capitol. Here's how Wikipedia defines felony murder:

The rule of felony murder is a legal doctrine in some common law jurisdictions that broadens the crime of murder: when an offender kills (regardless of intent to kill) in the commission of a dangerous or enumerated crime (called a felony in some jurisdictions), the offender, and also the offender's accomplices or co-conspirators, may be found guilty of murder.

As the instigator of the mob riot, Trump could be vulnerable to such a charge.
