Sam Smith - The current debate over whether Jill Biden is entitled to be called "Dr" thanks to her high university degree brings up again a problem that liberals don't want to face. According to Pew Research, "Democrats lead by 22 points (57%-35%) in leaned party identification among adults with post-graduate degrees."
More dramatic, as this chart shows, has been the change in recent years in the attitude of the two parties towards the importance of college degrees:
This is another example of the class element in the divide between liberals and conservatives, one that the former increasingly ignore to their loss.
In fact, Jill Biden wrote her thesis on "Student Retention at the Community College: Meeting Students' Needs," which would be far more appealing to more voters than the fact that she has a doctorate.
Democrats need to discover how their growing classism is hurting them at the poll.
