Stupid Trump stuff

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that rival Joe Biden had "roped himself" into picking a woman as his running mate and suggested "some people" would say men might be insulted by the Democrat's insistence on doing so. ...  Trump went on to say that "some people would say that men are insulted by that. And some people would say it's fine. I don't know."

As nasty and awful a person Trump is; every now and then he says something that is true or has an element of truth to it. Unfortunately this is one of those times. If one excludes a group from consideration, then how can one know if one has that best candidate? And why wouldn't some members of the excluded group feel unfairly treated?

To help eliminate systemic sexism, maybe we just need a rule that the president and vice-president have to be of different genders. And appointments to the Supreme Court have to alternate between genders.

"different genders"? Careful there... different "sex" may be one thing, but I don't think America is ready for different genders, and may never be.

But... I do like the thought process. With the Repugs being co-opted by the religious right, I too have thought how the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches could be somehow 'forced' into a rational and workable existence. OK, so we'll have a Republican redneck evangelical, well that was easy. Then a Libertarian atheist, that was easy too! Maybe a Democratic Unitarian, OK still going.

Actually, might be able to find a few things further, but I think this could get quite difficult.

But I like the idea...
