a complex article. should make a distinction between chronic nonvoters and disaffected voters. it has become clear that no matter who you vote for for president you get the same thing. it became clear with obama. i voted for a democrat, got a republican. no matter what you vote for you get the same thing. i for one am tired of it. the system is corrupt and rigged. the only choices are right or far right. its insanity to do the same thing over and over expecting a different result. what we have is a fake democracy. i would post some george carlin here. but why bother.
Years ago, Jack Parr told a story about a woman he met. She claimed that she had never voted, ever. So Jack asked her why she hadn't, and she said "Because it just encourages them".
Of course, in the pre-Reagan era, people still had some respect for our government, and this story was simply a light-hearted story.
Sad, the actions of our government has even our sense of humor.
