Transgender and gender non-conforming people could soon be barred
from federally funded shelters, after the Department of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD) announced plans Wednesday to scrap recently
added regulator protections. HUD’s rulemaking would rescind the Equal Access Rule that currently
requires shelters that wish to segregate clients according to their
gender to modify their structures accordingly – rather than turn people
away.

The United States Department of Agriculture is moving expert economists and researchers whose work challenges President Trump's policies out of Washington D.C., Politico reported. Almost all researchers who work on the economic effects of climate change, trade policy and food stamps in the agency are being moved out of the capital in what they described to Politico as a political crackdown.
Slate -Abolitionist Harriet Tubman was supposed to make a number of firsts when her image was scheduled to begin being used on the $20 note in 2020. Tubman, a former slave and leader of the Underground Railroad, was set to replace former President Andrew Jackson on the note, as part of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote. On Wednesday, however, the Trump administration announced the new bill—the first honoring a black woman—would not be going into circulation as planned. In fact, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Wednesday, a Tubman $20 would have to wait until at least 2026, and likely 2028, before it goes in circulation,
