Louisiana has lost more land than all of Rhode Island

The New Yorker-  Since the 1930s, Louisiana has shrunk by more than two thousand square miles. If Delaware or Rhode Island had lost that much territory, the U.S. would have only forty-nine states.

And the politicians in Louisiana are working hard to raise sea level, guaranteeing that Louisiana will shrink even more.

In Rhode island we are doing little about sea level rise, but everyone at least acknowledges that we ought to eliminate all fossil fuel burning.
