Student protests against climate change growing

Mother Jones -The number of students participating in school strikes for climate action is continuing to rise around the world. Last week more than 60,000 students refused to go to their classes, the largest number yet.

The protests were sparked last year when 16-year-old Swedish student Greta Thunberg began a solo protest against inaction on global warming in August.Last Friday there were large strikes in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, where more than 20,000 students skipped school.

I hope it grows to every student. One idea to use in the campaign is to stop the building of any new fossil fuel facilities or pipelines. A recent study points out that if we stop building new and allow the rest of the facilities to close over time, we have a 2/3 chance of keeping below 1.5 degrees.
