Survey: Why about half of registered voters didn't go to the polls this year

Pew Rsearch Center -An estimated 50.1% of the voting-eligible population voted in the midterms, according to the United States Election Project, making it the highest turnout congressional election in more than a century. Still, about half of those who were eligible to vote did not do so.

A majority of those who say they did not vote (61%) also say they wish they had voted in the midterms; 38% say they do not wish they had voted.

Asked about some possible reasons why they did not vote, no single factor stands out among nonvoters: 26% say “I don’t like politics” is a major reason they did not vote. Among other major reasons, 21% say they did not think their vote would make a difference; 20% say it was too inconvenient; 19% say they were not registered; 12% say they “didn’t care” who won their local elections for Congress; and 7% say they forgot to vote.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and
said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!

Ahhh... or should I day Duhhh?
Maybe the Anon @ 18Dec is just another example of someone oblivious to the world around them, and myopically decides to avoid / ignore the subject at hand. Just as those people who don't feel they could make a difference by voting. Marching to a 'different drummer' so-to-speak during a waltz.
Right now I know it is impossible to have voting Online due to foreign hackers, and our own brand of trouble-makers. But hopefully, maybe, someday we can all have a two-step verification (or something) that allows even the Anonymous commenter (18Dec) to vote.
