Sam Smith - The anti-gay comments made by Kevin Hart, that led to him stepping down as Academy Awards host were made almost a decade ago. Isn't part of positive change altering where people were nearly a decade ago? How do you create change if people don't change? Isn't that progress? Are the mistakes you made in your 30s a lifetime offense?
As Hart put it, "“My team calls me, ‘Oh my God, Kevin, everyone’s upset by tweets you did years ago,'” he said.... “Guys, I’m nearly 40 years old. If you don’t believe that people change, grow, evolve as they get older, I don’t know what to tell you. If you want to hold people in a position where they always have to justify the past, do you. I’m the wrong guy, man.”
