Stormy's wake

A few thoughts on the Stormy Daniel's story:

• From TMZ: "Stormy Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, says his client's sexual encounter with Donald Trump is interesting and salacious, but it's at the bottom of the list in terms of importance." 
• Clearly issues like possible campaign contribution law violations or physical threats against Stormy are more important than sex
• The question that keeps coming up in our mind: why would anyone want to have sex with Donald Trump? The only good answers seem to be to get some money, to appear on "Apprentice" or as a good way to get to America. 
• And why did Trump let Stormy spank him? A study in  Social Psychological and Personality Science, by Joris Lammers and Roland Imhoff says, ""Results showed that power increases the arousal to sadomasochism, after controlling for age and dominance. Furthermore, the effect of power on arousal by sadistic thoughts is stronger among women than men, while the effect of power on arousal by masochistic thoughts is stronger among men than women. The effect of power is driven through a process of disinhibition that leads people to disregard sexual norms in general, and disregard sexual norms associated with gender in particular." 
•  It is probably good to remember that Stormy and Trump are not like the rest of us, so sex may be just one more thing they do differently. Your editor was reminded of this when, this mornilng on the Mark Thompson show, he found himself talking a self described"swinger" from Georgia who claimed to have had sex with up to three women at the same time and that his wife sometimes pretended to be an eight year old girl. As Fats Waller said, ":One never knows,  do one?"
