43 senators support net neutrality

Popular Resistance - Senator Ed Markey reports that 43 senators have signed on to co-sponsor the CRA vote to block the FCC’s rule undermining net neutrality and pass a Resolution of Disapproval. Fifty one votes are needed to pass the Resolution.  Politico lists six possible Republicans who might join in support of the Resolution including Sen. Susan Collins, of Maine, a swing vote who has said she does not support FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s moves, Dean Heller, of Nevada; Orrin Hatch, of Utah; John McCain, of Arizona; and Bob Corker, of Tennessee. If the senate passes the Resolution it will then go to the House.

UPDATE: Maine's two senators have joined in support.

But it would be non-binding and have no practica effect, e.g., on budgets, right?
