Eric Trump denies Russian golf course connection

Daily Mail, UK - Eric Trump has denied a golf writer's claim that he once said his father's American golf courses are funded with Russian money. 

James Dodson, who co-wrote golfer Arnold Palmer's biography, had claimed that Trump's son made the comment in 2014 during a visit to Trump National Golf Course in Charlotte, North Carolina.

But Eric dismissed Dodson's claim, pointing out that the Trump organization fully owns all its golf courses and has never relied on outside funding.

According got he golf writer: 'He said, "Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia."

'I said, "Really?" And he said, "Oh, yeah. We’ve got some guys that really, really love golf, and they’re really invested in our programs. We just go there all the time,'" Dodson recalled during an interview with WBUR on Friday.

Mr Trump says he does not know Dodson and described his claims as 'hearsay'.
