The Hill - Sheriff David Clarke’s master’s thesis has been removed from the Naval Postgraduate School website after reports that he plagiarized sections of his thesis on homeland security.
CNN reported Sunday that Clarke, who said this week he has accepted a job as assistant secretary in the Department of Homeland security, had plagiarized portions of his master’s thesis at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
The report said that Clarke, the sheriff of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, used language from sources without properly attributing them or using quotation marks.
