Anti-GMO activists are seething at President Obama’s quiet signature last week of a bill governing labeling of genetically modified foods, saying he was “cowardly” for approving it as the country’s attention was still focused on the Democratic convention.
Mr. Obama inked some 20 bills, in a late-July signing spree, but the GMO legislation was the most controversial, as it overturns Vermont’s labeling law and requires the federal government to set up its own standards for when a good must be labeled as bioengineered.
“It was cowardly of President Obama to wait until the Friday after the convention to sign the bill,” said Alexis Baden-Mayer, political director of the Organic Consumers Association.

Obama has been in their pocket from the get go---no surprises here. Just consider his appointments for Secretary of Agriculture, the staffings at USDA, etc.
Hell, when he created the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Obama appointed Roger Beachy, a research scientist from Monsanto, as its first director.
Barry's been very consistent over the years, just as Hillary has been, and will likely continue to be. Neither of these two people have the interests of the greater American public as a priority.
