What? Many European countries don't disenfranchise. In Sweden parties have rallies in prisons. In Ireland prisoners vote by mail. The UK has become less democratic. When I was a student there (60's) I saw (TV) scenes of prisoners voting in booths in a prison yard. Typical of conservatives, many prisoners are disenfranchised, like the US. I suspect because prisoners, et alii, are more likely to vote democrat and labour.
