Musicians in Kentucky have responded in song to the attacks on women’s
reproductive rights, affordable health care, the LGBT community,
education, and progress in general in their
state through
song. This project was organized by a small group of artists
and musicians in the community who believe that collectively, they could
make their dissenting voices heard through their art.This 43 track digital-only compilation is available for $10 (
with additional donations encouraged) and 100% of funds raised from its purchase will be donated directly to
Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky.

This shouldn't be surprising, though Kentucky seems to get a bad rap as the epitomous red neck state, the truth is it has a history of courageous social activism. I offer this as but one example, Kentucky's pre-Civil War abolitionist efforts:
