Popular Resistance - Drafts of the “vast, sweeping” trade agreement that the United States is secretly negotiating with 11 other world powers are not subject to the Freedom of Information Act, a federal judge ruled. The Trans-Pacific Partnership is a proposed trade agreement between 12 countries bordering the Pacific Rim setting international standards over labor, the environment, agriculture, medicine, labor, the Internet, human rights, intellectual property rights and many other issues.
Though first announced to Congress in 2009, a confidentiality agreement that the participating countries reached protects their proposals from public disclosure until there is a final agreement. Most information about the deal has come to light through leaks to the press. WikiLeaks, which has already disclosed multiple chapters, offered a $100,000 bounty this past summer for the full text of the draft chapters.

I once thought Congress and Obama didn't understand the American people and were just inept. I was wrong. They understand very well. As Nancy Pelosi articulated very clearly, and I'm paraphrasing...she said the American people just don't understand what is good for them and we [government] have to decide for them. Americans, while probably the least informed by choice of any Western nation, I think is beginning to understand that while our government...both elected and bureaucrat....are inept, they are just mean and intent on doing what is good for them. They spend time in office where they make a fortune then they're off to exorbitant gigs where once again they do nothing but pretend to be competent. Why doesn't 'Occupy' and 'Black Lives Matter' and other advocacy groups protest on the Capitol grounds. Protesting cops or anything else in other cities is good, it annoys the bad folks, but it doesn't really hit home until the knobheads in Congress have a taste. If they have to go to the Capitol amidst rotten vegetables thrown at them and massive groups of demonstrators with signs chanting at them, they'll start paying attention. As long as they can 'boo hoo' to the American public then go to their dinner parties and their 'little sumpin on the side' after work, why should they care. There needs to be more in your face activism targeting the right people. Getting in the cops face means nothing. Get in the politicians face! They're unethical, cowardly bastards and they'll wet themselves if they see how angry the American public is.
In referrence to your question about Occupy... did you ever hear of any such organization knowing how to resist infiltration from those who will be affected by an effective mass movement...? The thing they are pushing now is no demonstrations and the use of propaganda to change through political action whose sense I am unable so far to sense...
