Morning Line

A couple of things to bear in mind as you read reactions to the first Demcratic debate:

In our moving average of recent polls, Clinton loses by 5-11 points to Trump, Fiorina and Carson and by 4 points to Bush. Biden beats Trump by 13, Bush by 5 and Carson and Fiorana by 4.
Clinton's performance verged on the pathological given the number of shifts in her positions. No other candidate has shifted their position on so many subjects in recent time. Yet she stated these insecure positions glibly as though the only thing that mattered was what she said most recently. The there was not there.
