Who says Trump doesn't have a plan?

James Warren, Poynter - Michael Sneed, longtime Chicago Sun-Times columnist, beckons Trump whenever she needs him and he always seems accommodating. Her latest inquiry prompted a notion only slightly less dubious than his low-minded immigration critiques.

... “I’d love to have Mike [Ditka] involved in some capacity. Why? Because Mike knows how to win, and our politicians don’t. He’s a great guy. A total winner.”

Ditka hasn’t won anything since he coached the Chicago Bears to victory in the 1985 Super Bowl. He’s a two-legged ham hock with, like Trump, opinions on virtually everything. By comparison, Trump is a cerebral, almost understated urban sophisticate.

But they do have one thing in common: major league skill at self-promotion and commercial endorsements.

Our post-McCutcheon constitution produces billionaire candidates who run for CEO.
Trump lacks a Dr. Goebbels type who can manage both the entertainment division and the night raids. Ditka isn't that person.
