NYPD strikes again
NY Post - Former tennis-star James Blake was mistaken for a cellphone thief as he stood outside a Midtown hotel on Wednesday — and a group of NYPD cops slammed him to the pavement and handcuffed him until they figured out they had the wrong man, sources said. The former No. 4 tennis player in the world, who is African-American, was on his way to watch the US Open and waiting for a ride outside the Grand Hyatt on East 42nd Street at around noon when he was wrongly identified as a suspect.
