Washington City Paper - Mayor Muriel Bowser
will today announce the completion of
a deal
that the District has struck with the Washington Wizards to build the
team a $55 million practice facility at St. Elizabeths in Ward 8. The
catch? Taxes will fund
90 percent of it.

No city should EBVER fund facilities for professional sports franchises. Theey are a big drain on the taxpayers and lousy economic development. We are kicking thier butts and defeating thier stupid proposal in providence, i hope the folks in DC do it too. Dermand public hearings. Then occupy the site.
