It is truly difficult to comprehend and fully appreciate the impact that the Ertegun brothers had on American music through the near entirety of the second half of the twentieth century. Include, too, one other Turk, Arif Mardin, along with native New Yorker Tom Dowd then it becomes difficult to name a single important artist who in some way did not have some connection.
